Kiril Lazarov Signs for Zagreb
"Many things influenced me to choose Zagreb. They are working to create a strong team with great support from the city and government. In 2009 Croatia will host the World Championship as well," Lazarov told Eurohandball.com Lazarov is currently the top scorer of the Champions League with 82 goal. He is followed by Eric Gull (Valladolid) with 71 goals and Lars Christiansen (Flensburg) with 68 goals. Both players still play second game from semi-final, and one of them will surely have two more games in the CL finals. Great expectations"I have good memories from the days when I played for Zagreb – though in that period the club had many problems. Many things have changed since then," Lazarov said. "I hope I will play the CL final with Zagreb next season. That's our main task for the years to come.” At the moment the Romanian Jurka and the young Kopljar play in the right back position for Zagreb. Lazarov will get his old shirt with number 7 back.
