Valcea keep Champions Trophy at homeThe 2007 Women’s Champions Trophy came to a spectacular finish this weekend in Valcea, Romania. In front a great home support, C.S. Oltchim Rm. Valcea (ROU) won the title for the first time in their history after defeating Zvezda Zevnigorod (RUS) in the final. The fight for third place was won by Slagelse DT (DEN) after taking victory over HC "Lada" Togliatti (RUS). The top scorer of the championship was presented to Ana Batinic of Slagelse DT who scored 21 goals for her team. The accolade of best player went to Irina Poltoratskaya of Zvenigord Zvezda. Luminita Dinu of C.S. Oltchim Rm. Valcea was honoured with the title of best goalkeeper.
