Krim Mercator with New Coach

As Krim failed to reach the most important objective of the season in the Champions League, Krim Mercator dismissed coach Robert Begus. His replacement will be Bojan Cotar.

Cotar will train World class players such as BodnievaKrim Mercator's Board of Directors was not satisfied with the results of Robert Begus. The Slovenian club was eliminated from the Champions League in the quarterfinals and it was less than they were hoping for. Accordingly, they decided to fire Begus and name a new coach. Begus will stay with the team until the end of the season. Cotar will take over on 1 August.

Bojan Cotar will coach Krim for two seasons. He is a well known former handball player and coach in Slovenia. This will be his first time to work in women handball. “It was an honour for me that Krim offered a chance. This is a great challenge,” said the 46-year old Cotar.

He promises that the work will be just the same that he knows from men’s handball. “Hard work is waiting for us. I would not like to offend players but they have to accept critical remarks,” Cotar added.

He signed a two-year contract that can be terminated after a year.
