Slagelse celebrate a deserved victory!
The Brondby Arena was on fire on Sunday evening. For the first time in the club's history, Slagelse had the chance to celebrate a deserved win in front of their passionate fans. The Danes led from the word go, the final score was 32:24 - there was no doubting the victory from early on in the match.
The club already has a glorious Champions League history; in 2004 they lifted the coveted trophy in Ljubljana and the following year, they celebrated their second win in Skopje. The Champions League seems to be firmly in Danish hands, this is the fourth consecutive seaon that a Danish club has taken the title. Last season, Slagelse were pipped at the post in the semi-finals and Viborg went on to win the title.
CONGRATULATIONS GO TO SLAGELSE!
