The Danish national player is leaving Kolding to join Barcelona. Nøddesbo signs for three years.

What has been an open secret for several months – at least in Denmark – was finally made official on Tuesday afternoon. Danish international Jesper Nøddesbo was introduced as new player of the Spanish Champions League participant, FC Barcelona. The 26-year old pivot will join the Catalonians and sign a three-year contract. Nøddesbo arrives from Danish Cup winner KIF Kolding, where he played three years. Before that he played for another Danish league club, Team Tvis Holstebro.

“It is a great honour for me that Barca has shown interest in me. I have seen and heard a lot about this team throughout my life, and when I found out that they wanted to sign me, the decision was not difficult to make. I really want to give all I’ve got and try to win everything with Barcelona: Champions League and Liga Asobal,” said Jesper Nøddesbo at the press conference, where he was officially introduced as a new Barcelona player.

Jesper Nøddesbo played 80 internationals for Denmark and scored 155 goals.
