Buducnost finish last againAfter finishing last without a victory at the international tournament in Hungary a week ago, Buducnost T-Mobile didn’t do better last weekend in Koprivnica (Croatia). The team of coach Tone Tiselj lost all three matches. In the first game against the Slovenian side, Krim Mercator, the Montenegrin champions played a very good first half (16:10), but that was not enough to avoid a defeat at the end (26:28).
In the second match, Buducnost lost fairly easily (27:39) against the home team Podravka Vegeta, playing very badly in the first half (10:20), especially in the attack. At the end, they lost against Austrian champion Hypo (31:32) to finish last again.
Jovanka Radicevic, the right wing, was the best scorer of Buducnost with 19 goals. Improvement step by stepEven after three more defeats, Tiselj – he gave chance to all players – is satisfied with the improvement the team made from the start of the preparations. He is especially satisfied with the games against Krim and Hypo, because Buducnost T-Mobile were not far from beating stronger and more experienced opponents.
“In some aspects of the game we did better than at the tournament in Hungary. Actually, when we play with our best team, it looks good. But, in Koprivnica, in three matches we did it maybe for just an hour: in the first half against Krim and for most of the match with Hypo, when we gave up at the end. "If Damjanac would not have broken her nose, and if Dragutinovic would have been able to play, the final result of the last match could have been different. But, that didn’t leave me unsatisfied with the games in Koprivnica. The other teams have more high quality players, so we cannot keep the same rhythm till the end. Anyway, I am very proud how we played, the improvement is obvious, but we can do better,” stated Tone Tiselj. More tournaments coming up
Snezana Damjanac, who broke her nose in the finish of the match against Hypo, have to take a rest for at least seven days, which means that she will probably miss the next tournament, the Vinko Kandija Memorial Cup in Ljubljana (Slovenia). This tournament will be played on 15-16 September and Buducnost will face the same rivals as in Croatia.
The experienced all-round player may be back again at the international tournament of Bijelo Polje (21-22 September), where Buducnost will be the hosts, Macedonian Kometal, Lokomotiva (Croatia), Lasta (Serbia), Autorex (Montenegro) and probably Katarina, the champion of Bosnia and Herzegovina.
“I believe we’re going to play better in Ljubljana, but the results at the tournament will still not be the most important. The target is that the young players gain experience against teams of a similar level maybe against even stronger ones,” Tiselj added.
