Ivano Balic, MVP of Asobal League

Balic took all prizes possible for a player Ivano Balic was nominated MVP of the last Asobal League. The announcement came in the gala where the new Asobal season was presented. Balic closed a perfect year: he has been nominated World Player of the Year and MPV of Spanish League. It was a pity for him that the season was not so successful with his club, Portland.

Of course, Balic was in the all-star team of the League as best middle back. Sterbik was the goalkeeper, Urios the pivot, Stefansson and Entrerrios in the back court position, Albert Rocas and Juan Garcia were the best wingers. Ciudad Real, Barcelona and Portland gave the players in this Dream Team of Asobal League, which is very similar to the ideal seven of the last seasons.

Davor Cutura, Jose Luis Perez Canca and Cristina Fernandez were honoured too. Cutura was the best scorer of the last season, Perez Canca scored the 200,000th goal of the competition, while Fernandez finished a career of 19 years as referee.
