Zagreb with Cervar aim for CL title

At a press conference in Zagreb, Lino Cervar was officially presented as the new coach of Zagreb for the next three years.

Cervar wants to return to the top with Zagreb“I am really glad to be back. I signed a contract for three years and we agreed that our project will last two to three years. In this period, our main objective is to get to the level of the best teams of Europe, and we want to achieve that objective mainly with our own Croatian players who grew up in this club,” says the newly appointed coach.

This is an ambitious project, because Zagreb CO managed to collect ten national team players in a club and to put the NT coach in charge. Big results are expected…

Cervar left Zagreb two years ago because he didn't want to do it only part time. He had many responsibilities as the NT coach and he was also working on a book. Now that Zagreb has majority of his NT players, he can work on the team again.

As he still has obligations as a Member of Parliament in Croatia, the club gave him two months time. After these two months, Lino Cervar and Zagreb CO will have only one objective: the CL title.
