Asobal League starts, CL teams win
Spanish CL teams did not give a chance to the opponents in the first Asobal League round. Barcelona scored 41 goals against Teucro, Portland left no doubt, Ciudad Real suffered only in the first half, while Ademar had an easy day.
Debuting coachesBarcelona played against newly promoted side, Teucro. The first game of Cadenas on the Barcelona bench was entertaining for the fans of Palau Blaugrana. Jesper Noddesbo worked very well scoring 7 goals and showed once again that he was one the best transfers. Iker Romero and Juan García added 6 goals each. Barca won by 10 at the end.
Portland had a similar situation: Cabanas was on the Portland bench after almost 20 years with Equisoain. The players helped the new coach to a successful debut. Svensson made a great performance with 20 saves. The 6-0 defence of Portland was really secure with the Swedish keeper in the goal. On the other side, Ruesga, Vugrinec and Malmagro were the most effective players. San Antonio won against Arrate 29-22.
Jordi Ribera made his debut on the Ademar bench. His team also won by 24-30 against Algeciras. Jakobsen and Garralda were the top scorers. Claus Jakobsen scored 10; he was the playmaker for Leon, so his performance was decisive in the victory. Algeciras were not able to surprise Leon and Ademar solved this first match away.
