Marvellous Hypo wins in Ljubljana

Four CL teams met in Ljubljana for the traditional tournament Vinko Kandija Cup, memorial tournament dedicated to Krim founder and former coach. The Austrian Hypo showed the best handball and won at the end.

Hypo's new player, Tímea Tóth, was top scorer of the tournamentHypo Niederösterreich won all three matches – against Podravka, Buducnost and Krim Mercator. There was no question at any minute point about the victory of the team. With a superb Ok Oh, Tóth and Acimovic, Hypo were one class above the other participants.

At the end of the tournament, the best player, goalkeeper and scorer were selected. All three titles went to Hypo players: to Ok Seong, Sabine Englert and Tímea Tóth.

The Slovenian Krim was a big disappointment for the fans as the team won only against Buducnost, but lost the other two games. Their defence did not work on a satisfactory level, while the attacks were not innovative and quick enough.
