Rotis-Nagy missing from the CL?

Women’s Champions League winners, Slagelse DT, may have to do without their new Austrian star, Gariela Rotis-Nagy. The left back may be out for the rest of the year. According to a local Danish newspaper, Sjællands Tidende, the shoulder injury that keeps Rotis out of Slagelse is so serious that it may stop her for the rest of 2007.

Lack of backcourt players

Slagelse suffer a lot from lack of backcourt players at the moment. Serbian left back, Suzana Cubela, coming from FCK Håndbold, is also injured. She picked up this injury at the opening match against KIF Vejen. The team has difficulties in attack and with scoring. This is the main reason for Slagelse to have two points after the first three matches in the domestic league.

Last weekend, Slagelse lost at home against their eternal rivals, Viborg HK (new club of Bojana Popovic). The final result was 26-28.

In the first group phase of the Champions League Slagelse will play against Cementos La Union Riberroja, Podravka Vegeta and the winners of Group 1 of the second qualification round.
