Sagunto in top form

Eli Lopez saves in good formTeam of Cristina Mayo already won Spanish League Cup and dominate in the Spanish handball this season. They lead the Spanish table with 147 goals scored and eight points won from four matches. So far Sagunto had six official matches this season – six wins. Last two matches of Spanish Championship they won comfortably by 49:18 and 34:19.

Star players and team spirit

Goalkeeper Eli Lopez was the best goalkeeper in the Spanish League Cup at the beginning of the season. New back player, Milica Danilovic, also showed great performance so far. She will be great danger for the opponents’ goalkeepers. Alexandrina Barbosa is turning rapidly into a goal-machine. Despite the many star players in the team, they are not the ones who bring success. Sagunto are well known to be a club of team play with high paced handball, hard defence and many fast breaks. So their biggest advantage will be their team spirit.

Busy schedule for Sagunto

The Spanish side will play their first match against Milli Piyango, a Turkish team with star player Yeliz Ozel. The second match will be against home team, SAFO Lublin, who will have the great advantage of playing in front of their own fans. The toughest task of the Spanish team will come on Sunday when they will face CL finalist, Lada Togliatti.
