Zagreb not disappointed
After a 29:25 defeat in Leon, Zagreb are still thinking positively. They analysed their mistakes and they are determined to learn from them to give it all back to Ademar when they will visit Zagreb.
Hasty Croatians Kiril Lazarov, best Zagreb player said:
“At the beginning we played perfectly, after that we looked like beginners. We need to find a continuous play where everyone knows what to do and when to do it. I’m not looking for an excuse, but we worked with one coach on one playing system and now with a new coach on a totally different one. We simply need more time together.”
Zagreb had a great start with a 7:11 lead. The crucial moments of the match came when the Spanish team scored seven consecutive goals and took a 14:11 lead.
“We had everything in our hands. We started well as we agreed before the match, but after taking a four goal lead we started to rush and hurry without reason and that was our biggest mistake,” commented Lino Cervar.
Zagreb CO favourite of Group C Despite the defeat, Lazarov still has high hopes: “I still think that we are the favourites in Group C. Ademar are already on their peak, we will be at our peak in about two months. Also, we have home a match to play and I’m convinced when Leon comes to us to Zagreb that match will be a totally different story.” TEXT: Ivan Ambros |
