Ales Pajovic: eligible for Champions Trophy

Pajovic already played some good games for KielKiel played and won in Constanta last weekend in the Champions League with only ten men in the squad. THW will have a somewhat easier situation at the Champions Trophy this weekend. The Slovenian backcourt player, Ales Pajovic, can also play.

The transfer of Ales Pajovic from Ciudad Real to THW Kiel was completed on 2 October 2007. As late entry is not possible for the Champions League (and also because of the agreement between the two clubs), Ales Pajovic was not eligible for the Group phase of the Champions League.

The situation will be different for the Champions Trophy, on 20/21 October. The Slovenian backcourt player can be added to the team list of THW Kiel according to a decision of the EHF.

Kiel will play the semi-final on Saturday against Hamburg, while Celje will meet Magdeburg in the other game of the day.

Ales Pajovic will be needed by the CL winners indeed, as THW have a shortage of players after the injuries of Karabatic, Jicha, Zeitz, Wessig and Kim Andersson.
