Stars return to the Spanish teams
The beginning of the season has been complicated for Spanish team. The injuries caused problems for the coaches at the first games. However, some stars will come back on to play this week. Urios, Nagy, Kjelling and Ricardo Costa can return to play in the Champions League. It is really good news for coaches and fans alike.
Urios
Ciudad Real’s Rolando Urios underwent a knee surgery. The Spanish pivot has been training together with the team for two weeks; now it’s up to Talant Dujshebaev to send him on court. Urios still needs to get into a good form, but Dujshebaev prefers to be patient. He knows that the pivot will be very important in the decisive moments of the season. It is not yet sure whether Urios would travel in Poland for the game against Lubin.
Nagy
Lászlo Nagy will travel to Russia this week. His hand injury has recovered and the Hungarian player is okay now. It will be his first match of the 2007/08 CL season, which is a very good news for coach Manuel Cadenas. The match in Astrakan will be a very complicated one and Nagy can give a lot of strength for the team. Garabaya and Jerome Fernandez will also return; they had smaller problems recently.
Kjelling
Kristian Kjelling will try to help Portland to come out of this difficult period when the Austrian Bregenz will try to steal points from San Antonio. Kjelling suffered from various muscle injuries and he could not train in the last month. The Norwegian will mean a lot for Portland in attack.
Costa
Ricardo Costa will be there against Kadetten on Wednesday. It will be the Ademar player’s first game of the CL season after a knee injury. Costa was out for three months and now he wants to play again. Stranovsky started the season well, but now Costa can replace the Slovakian player at least for a couple of minutes. The Portuguese player will need time be on top again. TEXT: Fernando Urra Goñi |
