BUDUCNOST T-MOBILE IN ROMANIA AGAINST OLTCHIM

Nobody expected a miracle in Denmark. Buducnost T-Mobile lost the match against Viborg HK 29:36, but they played a great first half (20:19 for the home side), showing that this team is on the right road to be back at the top of the European handball.

Barjaktarovic wants to play a better game than in ViborgWith one win in two games Buducnost are in the race for the third place which, at this point, can be the only objective. Viborg and Oltchim are the strong favorites in the Group D, even to reach the final of the ECL, while the Montenegrins hope to be in front of Budapest Bank, thought there is no pressure on them: coach Tone Tiselj is preparing the team for the future this season.

“Viborg didn’t play on their usual level, so it seamed that we played well in the first half. In the second half we made too many technical mistakes, Viborg got advantage from that and thanks to more experience and qualities players finished the game with a deserved victory. In this moment, Viborg are too strong for us, that game was the opportunity to learn from the best, as it will be the game against Oltchim. In Romania we hope to be in the game for a longer time than in Denmark,” said Sonja Barjakratovic, goalkeeper of Buducnost T-Mobile.

After the game against Viborg, Buducnost stayed in Denmark for three more days, training there thanks to the hospitality of Viborg. The Montenegrin team arrived in Romania on Wednesday evening, and will have enough time to prepare for the match on Friday.

Jovanovic scored 14 goals so far“We were training in Viborg very well in order to prepare for a difficult game against Oltchim. We watched a few games of Oltchim and we have seen what we already knew.

“The Romanians are very strong team, who played very aggressive defence and safe and efficient in attack. Still, defence is their main weapon; they play it better than Viborg. Sometimes they are on the edge of roughness.

“They are one of the best teams in Europe and I expect a harder match than the one in Denmark. We have nothing to lose but that doesn’t mean that we will surrender without a fight. We hope to be equal to the home team, to play better than against Viborg, especially in defence. We need to be patient in attack to avoid the Romanian fast breaks,” said Marija Jovanovic, the best scorer of Buducnost in the first two matches with 14 goals.
