Reinforcement for Slagelse
Women’s CL winners, Slagelse DT, may have problems this season after key players leaving the club or being injured, but there is light at the end of the tunnel for the Danes.
On Thursday evening Slagelse announced a two-year contract with Serbian player, Tanja Milanovic. She was Player of the Year in the Danish league in 2005/06 season. The backcourt player will be join Slagelse from Danish league rivals, Ikast-Bording EH.
“I got to know Tanja when I was working with the Serbian national team and she fits perfectly into my handball philosophy as a player and also as a person,” said Slagelse’s head coach, Anja Andersen who is also working as sports director of the club.
“I am really looking forward to working with her again and I have no doubt that our cooperation can elevate her to be one of the greatest players in the world,” Anja Andersen added.
Long career in DenmarkTanja Milanovic has been playing in the Danish league for a long time. She played for Randers HK before Ikast, where she is playing her fourth season at the moment. Before coming to Denmark she played for Slovenian Olimpia Ljubljana, Serbian Zork Napredak Krusevac and for the Portuguese Madeira.
“I’m 30 now, and I have to spend the rest of my career in the best possible way,” said Tanja Milanvoic about her decision.
