Coming up: Last Round of the Group Matches

12 places have already been taken in the Main Round of the Men's CL. This week will bring the decision of the remaining four places and also for the Cup Winners' Cup places.


Coming up: Last Round of the Group Matches

With only one round left from the CL Group Matches, it is time to go through the groups to see the different qualification chances of the teams. 

Please note that the first and second ranked teams of the groups qualify for the Main Round of the CL (draw on 27 November), while teams ranked third will continue in the Last 16 of the Cup Winners’ Cup.

Group A

 There was no doubt about Barcelona in Group A
 Not even injuries could stop Kiel so far

 Leon were surprisingly confident in Group CPortland and GOG played two draws, the rest was easy

 

 Hamburg and Chehovskie had relatively easy task
 Gummersbach won the most difficult group of all
 Ciudad Real proved their class already in the very first round...
 Szeged and goalkeeper Puljezevic were in great form all the way
Barcelona: qualify for Main Round on first place.
Ivry: qualify for Main Round on second place with at least a draw or with a defeat if Astrakhan lose a point. In any other case Ivry finish third and continue in the Cup Winners’ Cup.
Astrakhan: qualify if they win in Karvina and Ivry lose against Barcelona.

Group B

Kiel: qualify for Main Round on first place.
Montpellier: qualify for Main Round on second place.
Hammarby and Constanta have 2 points both. If the teams will have the same number of points after the last round, Hammarby will finish third with a better result from the direct encounters.

Group C

Leon: qualify for Main Round on first place.
Kadetten: qualify on second place if they do not lose with more than four goals in Zagreb. If they lose with five or more they finish third and continue in the CWC.
Zagreb: qualify on second place if they win by at least five goals against Kadetten.
Vardar: reach third place if they have more points than Zagreb at the end of the round.

Group D

GOG: qualify for Main Round on first place if Portland lose and GOG win by 15 goals against Bregenz.
Portland: qualify for Main Round on first place in any other case.
Presov and Bregenz have 3 points both. If the teams will have the same number of points after this round, Presov will finish third with a better result from the direct encounters.

Group E

Hamburg: qualify for Main Round on first place.
Chehovskie: qualify for Main Round on second place.
Zaporozhye and Viborg have 2 points both. If the teams will have the same number of points after this round, Zaporozhye will finish third with better result from the direct encounters.

Group F

Gummersbach: qualify for Main Round on first place.
Celje: qualify for Main Round on second place with at least a draw against Gummersbach.
Veszprém: qualify for Main Round on second place if they win in Reykjavik and Celje lose.
Valur: reach third place if they win against Veszprém by at least 14 goals.

Group G

Ciudad Real: qualify for Main Round on first place.
Flensburg: qualify on second place with at least a draw against Lubin.
Drammen: qualify on second place if they win and Lubin win.
Lubin: qualify on second place if they win and Drammen make a draw.
If Drammen and Lubin lose, Drammen take third place and continue in the CWC.

Group H

Szeged: qualify for Main Round on first place.
Velenje: qualify for Main Round on second place.
Brest and Sarajevo have 2 points both. If the teams will have the same number of points after this round, Sarajevo will finish third with a better result from the direct encounters.
