Viborg sign new goalkeeper
Viborg sign 21-year old French goalkeeper, Aurelie Rouquette, for the rest of this season. Rouquette, who will join the Danes from French league club, Plan de Cuques, will be a replacement for Viborg´s Louise Bager Due, who got seriously injured at a training before Christmas. Due will be sidelined at least until March, as Eurohandball.com reported earlier.
Substitute of Haraldsen
“We are happy to get an additional goalkeeper. That was really important for us with all the great challenges ahead of us in the near future when we will miss Louise,” Viborg HK´s sports director Torben Østergaard said.
“Aurelie is not a complete goalkeeper – yet – but she is an extremely talented one. She can be an excellent substitute of Katrine Lund Haraldsen until Louise will be fit again,” Torben Østergaard added.
Aurelie Rouquetter has already started trainings with Viborg. She received the good news during the weekend as FTC Budapest Bank defeated T-Mobile Budocnost 36-28 in Group D. This result means that Viborg are sure to go on to the Main Round, no matter how their last group match – at home against FTC Budapest on Sunday – may turn out. TEXT: Peter Bruun |
