Tadici stays with Valcea
Gheorghe Tadici will spend two more years as Oltchim Rm. Valcea’s coach. Tadici has become the longest serving coach in the history of the Romanian champions: 4 seasons in a row.
Gheorghe Tadici signed his new contract with Oltchim this weekend. Thus he put an end to recent speculations that he was going to leave Oltchim at the end of the season to go back to his former club, Zalau.
Tadici’s contract with Romanian champions was about to expire in June.
“I am very happy that we have reached a new deal. Now I have the chance to continue the work I started in Valcea. More trophies – this is my main objective for the next seasons. And the Champions League trophy is the one I want the most. Hopefully I will put my hand on it this season,” said Tadici, who will still be assisted by Popa Sevistean on the bench.
Oltchim’s coach, Tadici won 5 trophies last year: Romanian Championship, Romanian Cup, Romanian Supercup, Cup Winner’s Cup and Champions Trophy. This season, Tadici led Oltchim for the first time in their history into the Main Round of the Champions League.
German champions, Nurnberg, will be the first team for Oltchim to meet in the Main Round. The game will take place in Nurnberg, on 8 February. TEXT: Emilian Voicu |
