Vukovic signs for Gummersbach
Slovenian club Gorenje is just one step away from Gummersbach. After Vedran Zrnic and Momir Ilic, Croatian national player Drago Vukovic will also leave the Slovenians to sign for the German club.
The player who won silver medal at the Euro 2008 with Croatia will played convincingly enough for the Germans to offer him a contract.
The 24-year old signed a contract with Vfl Gummersbach that will be valid from the season 2009/10. However, if the clubs can reach an agreement, the player may leave the Slovenian runner-up already at the end of this season.
"I do not care about it now. If the clubs can agree I will go to Germany earlier, but I will be anyway sad to leave Slovenia. I spent a beautiful time here," said Vukovic who can play middle back or left back as well. TEXT: Maja Mastnak |
