Not even a great Viborg with world class players could beat the Austrian champions: 32:30 at the end.

What a great show for the 2,000 fans in the Südstadt! Some of the best handball players of the world showed great performance - with Hypo getting on the better end of the game.

After 20 minutes the team of András Németh took the lead with the perfect tactical solutions of the coach.

Katrin Lunde Haraldsen was in good form - not enoughAt this stage of the game Viborg couldn’t cope with a great Seon-ok Oh. Her passes to the line player Dani Piedade brought Hypo a 15:11 lead at halftime.

After the break Hypo extended their lead. Viborg simply had no chance in these minutes. Despite goalkeeper Katrine Lunde-Haraldsen playing in great form (saving nearly 50% of shots), there was a big difference between the two sides.

And what was this difference?

Though Gorica Acimovic, one of the rising stars of the Austrian team, didn’t play in top form, Hypo’s "secret weapon" took the leading role over. Bok-hee Myoung, who played her second Champions League game against the Danes, scored seven goals and she was superb. With just ten minutes before the end, Hypo were nine goals ahead (28:19).

Viborg improved suddenly for the last minutes and reduced the difference significantly. Hypo won by 32:30 at the end.

With this victory Hypo clinched their eighth victory from eight games. The other CL side still with a 100% record are Győr. These two squads are unbeaten in Europe and in their domestic leagues as well...
