Nagy returns home
Barcelona star, László Nagy, will return to Szeged for the third time in his career. The Hungarian national team player began playing in Szeged, the city where he spent his youth. He was signed by the Catalonian club in 2000.
Eurohandball.com asks Nagy what it feels to return to his home and play against his hometown club.
László Nagy: I have played twice already against Szeged, so it is not quite new to me. Thanks God I have the opportunity to play there once again. This is always a great joy to be home, even if only for a short time. I can meet my parents, my friends and I can play in front of the fantastic supporters of Szeged.
Eurohandball.com: Is this match different for you?
László Nagy: Yes, this is somewhat different from the others. There are few occasions like this. Anyway, I hope that we would win.
Eurohandball.com: And you really need a victory after the defeat in the first round in Denmark...
László Nagy: We would like to prove that it was only a bad game in Denmark. We lost a match that was in our hands. The team are on the right track now, going towards a top form. This could be seen at our recent matches too.
Eurohandball.com: You have a new player in the team, who is not new at all. What about Xepkin who joined Barcelona once again?
László Nagy: He is physically in good form as he kept his condition perfectly after retiring two years ago. He has been training with us since November and he only needs to getback to practice with the ball. He was there in defence all the time against Celje and I think we have become stronger with him. We understand each other well and his physical qualities can make a difference.
Eurohandball.com: What can you promise the fans watching the game?
László Nagy: I’m sure that they will see a very good game and I can only say that may the best team win! TEXT: Eurohandball.com |
