Krogshede to leave Slagelse
It has been announced that Slagelse DT will be lose at least 10 players after the end of the current season. As Eurohandball.com earlier reported, no less than 9 players will follow head coach Anja Andersen to FCK Håndbold after the season. Now another player, Christina Krogshede, has announced that she would be leaving too.
The 26-year old playmaker, who can also play on both back positions, signed a two-year contract with Danish league club, Randers HK.
“Randers has an interesting squad and it will be our objective to reach the championship play-offs next year,” Christina Krogshede said.
Ready for the national team againChristina Krogshede, who joined Slagelse from FCK in the summer of 2006, has also played 10 internationals for Denmark. 18 months ago she said goodbye to the national team to concentrate on her studies and on the club team, Slagelse. Now, however, she says that she is ready to play for her country again if national coach Jan Pytlick decides so.
Randers that had a disappointing season so far just escaping relegation, expect Krogshede to contribute a lot to the team: “Christina fits perfectly into our plans and she is going to be an important player for the coming season. The more players we can get of her type and the more players will be inspired by her type, the happier will the coach be,” Randers coach Martin Albertsen said.
