Women’s EHF Cup: Unpredictable
The women’s EHF Cup has arrived to a stage where only top teams will play each other. Excitement guaranteed.
Volgograd vs Lublin
Byasen vs Dunaferr
The Norwegians are also well known from the CL, but they failed to qualify against Valcea this year. The experienced team will meet a former CL winning Hungarian side. Dunaferr have many national players and they show an improving form in their domestic championship as well.
Metz vs Itxako
The French side appear in one of the competitions every year. This season they failed to qualify to the CL because of Győr, but they have many French national players, such as the experienced Isabelle Wendling. Itxako, on the other side, have shown that they are in good form this year against a Russian and a Hungarian opponent. They build on foreign players, e.g. Brazilians in their squad.
Ikast vs Elda Prestigio
This may be the derby of the round. The Danes are certainly among the top teams of Europe with Norwegian stars such as Hammerseng, Nyberg and Blanco. The Spanish have been doing fine in the competition by eliminating a Danish and a Spanish (!) side so far. TEXT: Eurohandball.com |
