Lackovic will join Hamburg
The Croatian left back of Flensburg, Blazenko Lackovic, signed a 3-year contract with HSV Hamburg. The contract will start in the 2009/2010 season after the currently valid contract of Lackovic terminates in Flensburg.
Many top European clubs wanted Lackovic and Flensburg also made an offer for him to stay. However, the player decided to sign for Hamburg.
The Croatian international arrived in Flensburg from Zagreb in 2004. In 2005 he won German Cup, still he may not have been satisfied with only one title in four years.
Hamburg also signed Marcin Lijewski from Flensburg. The objective of the club is to create a German and European top club. Knowing the big ambitions of Hamburg and also the hunger for titles of Lackovic, the future alliance may prove very successful.
