...and Portland support Flensburg

The situation of Portland is not easy. The Spanish side must win against Hamburg by four goals at least on Saturday and wait for the result of Croatia Zagreb in Flensburg. A defeat of Zagreb in this case would take Portland to the semi-finals. Portland need to win by four goals to have better result from the direct encounters against Hamburg.

Svensson is in great formRicardo Andorinho is the only player surely missing the match, but Davor Dominikovic has problems too. The Croatian backcourt player suffered an injury in his right foot and Javier Cabanas could not count on him in the last Asobal League game in Antequera. This injury is not serious, but can be very painful, so the decision will be made by Davor Dominikovic.

Portland San Antonio prepared for the game by winning in Antequera in the Asobal League. It was a special game, because Antequera had already caused problems for the Pamplona-based team this season. That defeat of the Cabanas team was their only defeat in the UPNA Pavilion in two years. Portland have “taken revenge” and they are still in the race for the third place in the Asobal League, which means CL qualification as well.

The Swedish international goalkeeper, Tomas Svensson, is the top player of Portland right now. Svensson had four incredible games in the last two weeks and he is key player of San Antonio. The fans of Ademar, Flensburg, Zagreb or Antequera could talk about the saves of the veteran goalkeeper…
