Coach comments: Men's EHF Cup

Veroljub Kosovac, Ola Lindgren and Magnus Andersson talk to Eurohandball.com about the upcoming EHF semi-finals.

Coach comments: Men's EHF Cup

Just before the EHF Cup semi-finals (Aragon vs Nordhorn and Koper vs FCK), the coaches of the teams gave us their comments on their expectations and the chances of the teams.

Holger Glandorf is one of the greatest stars of NordhornAragon

Veroljub Kosovac (coach):
“Our team has the disadvantage of playing the first match in Zaragoza. To pass the round we will need to take more than five goals of advantage on home court. Nordhorn are a very complete team with a lot of experience in European competitions, while we only play our second season in Europe.”

HSG Nordhorn

Ola Lindgren (coach):
“Aragon have a really strong team and they reached the EHF Cup final last year,” says Lindgren. The Swedish coach expects a difficult job in the semi-finals:
“It is positive, however, that we will play the first game in Spain.”

FCK Handball

Magnus Andersson (coach):
“We are of course very pleased to have reached the semi-finals of this competition and we now expect a couple of tough games against very skilled opponents. I have great respect for Slovenien handball. There are many top players in the handball of the Balkan where the general standard of handball is very high.

“Cimos Koper play an aggressive offensive style of handball, which is not quite the same as the kind played in Denmark. We will try to play according to our abilities and I feel that we have a good chance to go through to the final if we can get to play our game plan. In fact, I doubt that we would be able to surprise our opponents again with the speed of our counter attacks as we did it previously in the tournament. We look forward to the challenge ahead.”

The hall of Cimos Koper will host the team of Kopenhagen
