Marta Bon: new coach of Krim

Slovenian Krim Mercator appoint new coach for next season.

Marta Bon: new coach of Krim

After an unsuccessful season, Slovenian Krim Mercator sacked coach Bojan Cotar and agreed with a new coach. The head of the team will be former player and national team coach, Marta Bon.

Krim will once again have a woman coach in the next three seasons. Marta Bon was in charge of Krim 14 years ago and now she is going to return. In the meantime she was also national coach of the women and led the team to 8th place at the World Championship in Croatia in 2003. She is also coach of the youth national team and she is a professor at the Ljubljana University.

Bon will follow Ivica Rimanic, Zdravko Zovko, Kasim Kamenica and others. The director tells us why:

"She knows Krim very well, she is always around and I think that she has the qualities to work with younger players, which is the strategy for Krim in the coming years. I think we can reach the top of Europe with her again in three years," said Deja Doler who will be the director of the club.
