For victories, experience and funHSG Nordhorn may be the least famous club of the Champions Trophy, but they are to be taken very seriously. Last season’s EHF Cup winner finished fifth in the Bundesliga (also their current league position) and they produced outstanding results and memorable victories against all the best German sides. Former World- and European champion player, Ola Lindgren, has been coaching Nordhorn since 2003. The Swedish expert shares his ideas with us. Ola Lindgren: This will be a great experience for our team. We are proud that we qualified for it and we are looking forward to play with high quality squads. Eurohandball.com: If someone would not know your team, which players could you advise to watch out for? Ola Lindgren: We have a good mix of young and old players who form a high level squad. There are some well known names, such as Glandorf, but based on the current form, I would say that the Norwegians, Myrhol and Mamelund could be interesting. Especially the young Mamelund has become key player in only a year’s time. Eurohandball.com: Everyone on board in your team? Ola Lindgren: Stojkovic is injured, he cannot play. We will see if Przybecki would be ready for the weekend. This is a difficult period for the team. We will arrive to Veszprém after five games played within 14 days. Eurohandball.com: What are your objectives then? Ola Lindgren: We will play against the best teams of Europe. We want three things: to win a game, have fun and to gain experience on this level.
