Amicitia: young team looking for success

The Swiss club, ZMC Amicitia Zürich, is taking part in the Champions League for the first time. Nevertheless, the young team are not afraid.

Montpellier and Ademar are very strong opponents in the race for the Main Round for the Swiss team, but they already won a game against Bregenz and showed a very good performance in Leon against Ademar.

Zürich lost by 39-33 in Spain and the Swiss coach, Kurt Widmer, believes that a surprise was not far:

“We could have won because the players were very concentrated from the beginning. We were equal in score in the first 30 minutes, but we made two mistakes that gave Ademar the chance to win.”

Widmer knows that his team is still very young and it is a big disadvantage in this competition:

“We are very young. We need time to gain significant experience, which is very important in the decisive moments during this kind of competitions.”

The coach was satisfied with scoring 33 goals in Leon:

“It is not a surprise for me because we prepared properly for this game”.
