The Spanish club cannot afford another bad result against Chehovskie. Portland coach knows what is at stake, but first of all Ciudad is coming up for the team.

San Antonio will face the first decisive game in the Champions League this season. The unexpected defeat in Slovenia against Koper put the Spanish in a delicate situation.

The Russians will also need to take points to make up for their failure in Romania. Meanwhile, Cimos Koper could be the lucky third in this competition…

On paper the Spanish and the Russian team seemed to have the best chances from this group, but they have not proved their outstanding qualities yet.

Villaldea knows

Chechu Villaldea, the coach of the Spanish club, is aware of the complexity of the situation his team is in:

“We are in a difficult position in our group. It was difficult to digest the defeat in Slovenia because we had the chance to win the game. The match against the Russians will be decisive for us. We can not make more mistakes if we want to qualify for the next round.”

Portland also worked to improve the relationship with the fans. The San Antonio supporters were disappointed after the last season and they are hopeful toady:

“We need to fill the sports hall and we need to play in an atmosphere similar to the match against Barcelona. The Champions League is the most unique competition and we need to stay alive there,” said Villaldea.

Test against Ciudad

There will be a great game in the Spanish league this week. Portland will visit Ciudad Real. The hosts will go for two important points in the Quijote Arena.

Barcelona and Ademar are also more than interested in the outcome of the game. This will decide who they have to pay attention to in the run for the league title.
