Good chance against PodravkaBefore travelling to Koprivnica, Eurohandball.com talks to Ivica Rimanic about the atmosphere in his team after the defeat in Togliatti. He tells us what he expects from the match against Podravka on Saturday. Eurohandball.com: Are you satisfied with your performance so far: 2 rounds 2 points? Ivica Rimanic: We are satisfied with the performance, but we are not satisfied with not taking points from Lada. We were unlucky in the last minutes and we were defeated. Eurohandball.com: Did you get over the Togliatti game? Ivica Rimanic Well, everybody were a bit disappointed at first, but we worked hard this week – especially in last days – and now the atmosphere is good and everything is like it should be. Eurohandball.com: As you predicted earlier, all teams in showed equal performances and all the matches ended with a home win. Can Oltchim change this and win in Koprivnica? Ivica Rimanic: I said very clearly before the CL that our group is very strong and that every team can win at home. I think we have a good chance against Podravka and I think we are really in good mood and good condition. If our defence will cooperate well the with goalkeepers and if we avoid some mistakes in shooting from 6 meters, then we will reach a good result in Koprivnica. Eurohandball.com: Podravka had the chance to win in Larvik, but at the end home team won. Oltchim had the lead in Togliatti, but also lost in the final moments. What will be decisive in Koprivnica? Ivica Rimanic: Indeed, both teams lost. The reason may be that both teams thought that the match was finished before it was really finished. And this is something we have to work on; we need to play all 60 minutes on constant level and not to stop when you have a lead of 5 or 6 goals. If we avoid these ups and downs, these amplitudes in our play, then we will have a good chance to win in Koprivnica. TEXT: Ivan Ambros |
