It was a perfect night for Buducnost T-Mobile, the kind when everything goes well. The champions of Montenegro defeated HypoNiederösterreichat home at home by 26:25, thanks to a goal of right back Katarina Bulatovic in the last second of the Saturday’s game.

Buducnost T-Mobile got two very important points in front of all 5 000 fans in the “Moraca“ hall. The sports hall has not seen such a support for some years now and it gave power to the home team to get back into the game from six goals down.

Buducnost kept the chances to reach the main round and got revenge for a defeat in Vienna…

“We are very grateful for our fans, who were fantastic from the first until the last minute of the match. They believed in us, we also believed in success and the victory came in the best possible way. My last goal was the result of the whole team’s work in the last action,” said the hero of the match Katarina Bulatovic, who scored the first and the last goal of her team against Hypo.

Two points against Hypo ended a bad tradition for Buducnost: this was their first win in the CL at the beginning of a year since 2002.

“Thanks to our fans, they were great. We expected a difficult game and it was. It the first half happened the same thing that happened in Vienna. We were afraid to score, we were rushing too much in attack and in the defence we didn’t close the gaps in time. At half-time I tried to motivate my players and I think they came back on court psychically stronger. In the second half we played with stronger fighting spirit and that helped us a lot.

"I’m very glad that one more time my team showed that we are able to play the final minutes on a very high level. Fortunately, our goalkeepers did well in the last part of the game. At the end we were also lucky to get the two points. This is just one step towards the main round and we all know that 17 January is the day when we will know if we are going to play in the next round,” said Gyula Zsiga, coach of Buducnost T-Mobile.

Buducnost only need to beat FCK Handbold at home now at the last game in order to secure a place in the main round. It also means that they will play without pressure the next away match against Orsan Elda Prestigio on Saturday. The second half of the game with Hypo is the recipe how to play in the next matches.

“We knew that we can beat such a great team as Hypo only with big heart and fighting spirit during the entire 60 minutes. We made a lot of mistakes, but we wanted this victory and at the end we got it. I’m happy that we began the year with a victory and we are closer to the next round. I hope we will get there,“ said the captain of Buducnost T-Mobile Marija Jovanovic.
