Englert signs for IkastGerman international goalkeeper, Sabine Englert, will be leaving Hypo Niederösterreich after two years at the end of the season. She will join Danish league club and current Champions League team Ikast/Brande EH from next season.
Happiness in IkastThe news was welcomed in Ikast as the contract with Englert, who played 160 internationals for Germany, was officially announced. “She has the perfect age for a goalkeeper. She is experienced and strong already, but she still has the potential to develop further,” Ikast head coach Kenneth Jensen said. The club’s sports director Frank Henriksen commented: “We have been watching Sabine Englert for a long time and we are happy and proud to attach her to FC Midtjylland. She is among the five best goalkeepers in the world.” In Ikast Sabine Englert, who joined Hypo from TV 05 Mainzlar in 2007, will replace Camilla Eriksen.
