Hvidt returns homeThe Danish international goalkeeper, Kasper Hvidt, currently playing his second season for FC Barcelona, will return to Denmark at the end of the season. Hvidt´s new club will be FCK Håndbold, also playing in the Champions League. The goalkeeper signed a three-year contract after 12 years abroad. “I don’t know much about the Danish league right now as I only played there for one year before going abroad, but playing for FCK is a big dream coming true for me. At the same time I believe it is a big challenge to play in the Danish league these days,” 32 year old Kasper Hvidt told Danish TV2. “I’m looking forward to playing in my home town and to contribute to an already strong team,” Hvidt added. The player was born in Copenhagen, the city of FCK Håndbold. Kasper Hvidt is the first-choice keeper of the Danish national team where he played 194 international games so far. FCK Håndbold already have a Norwegian national team goalkeeper, Steinar Ege, in the team, and he will also be playing for the Danish side next season together with Hvidt. At the moment the FCK also has an experienced Croatian, Valter Matosevic, in the goal. TEXT: Peter Bruun |
