Barcelona signs OnetoMarco Antonio Oneto, a line player from Chile, will play this season – and also the next four – in Barcelona. The Catalonian club announced the transfer of the player from Naturhouse La Rioja. Oneto will play the rest of the season in Barcelona. Marco Oneto had played in the youth squads of Barcelona and now he returns to be a professional in the top club. The arrival of Oneto was rumoured in Spain before, but his immediate transfer was a surprise to many. The pivot from Chile will not be unknown to the players training in the Palau. He used to live in the same house in Barcelona with László Nagy and he is in good relationship with Lozano and Barrufet. Oneto was very happy after the official announcement: “I left my country with the objective to improve and play for a great club. I played for Barcelona before and now I return to the city that opened the doors of Spanish handball for me,” he said. He spent two years in Barcelona. Oneto knows that playing for Barcelona is very difficult: “Barça is a great club and a very complete team. I know that Garabaya, Jernemyr and Noddesbo are great line players, but my job is to try to find a place in the team. I must work 100% to prove my abilities to Manolo Cadenas”.
