Hypo strengthens with KoreanAs Eurohandball.com has reported earlier, Hypo Niederösterreich will lose two key players at the end of the season. Goalkeeper Sabine Englert will join Ikast, and Gorica Acimovic will play for Viborg. However, Hypo are also working on the team of the future. The Austrians have signed from Denmark. The Korean line player, Soon Young Huh, will sign for the Austrian champions a three-year contract. Currently she is playing for the Danish third ranked team, Århus. Huh will be the fifth Korean player of the Viennese club. “I am truly happy for her. She will join a top club which is in the Champions League every year. Hypo does not play tough matches in the domestic league during the season, so she can play three years easier than here in Denmark. Hypo offered her a three-year contract, while we were only willing to offer her one year,” Århus coach Morten Arvidsson said. Soon Young Huh has been playing for Århus since the summer of 2007 and the Danish team still have a chance to qualify for next CL next season. Oh and Nascimento honouredAlthough Hypo finished third in the Women's Regional Handball League, two of the players were honoured for their performance in the league. Oh and Nascimento were both nominated for the all-star team. Second on the CL top scorer list, Andrea Lekić, is the MVP of the season; third on the top scorer list, Bulatović from Buducnost, is best right back. The coaches of the WRHL teams voted as follows: All-star team TEXT: Peter Bruun and Ivan Ambroš |
