The Hungarian line player will not be the only to arrive in Podgorica.

Szamoránsky signs for Buducnost

Just after finishing the Champions League season, Buducnost T-Mobile announced the first reinforcement for next season. A 22-year old Hungarian line player, Piroska Szamoránsky, will join the Montenegrin top club.

Szamoránsky with her new jerseySzamoránsky began her career in Győr and later she played four seasons for Budapest Bank FTC. She has now agreed a two-year contract with the Buducnost. Szamoránsky is going to increase the number of the Hungarian colony after coach Gyula Zsiga and left back Gabriella Kindl joined the club a year ago. Kindl also decided to play for the national team of Montenegro in the future.

“Szamoránsky is the same age as most of our team, so I think she will fit in right away. Most probably, she will not be the only reinforcement, but it’s too early to talk about the others,” president of Buducnost T-Mobile Predrag Boskovic told Eurohandball.com.

Szamoránsky will work with Gyula Zsiga again as Zsiga was her coach at Budapest Bank FTC. She made her debut for the Hungarian national team in April 2006, and in 61 games she scored 123 goals.

That is not the only good news for Buducnost. Katarina Bulatovic extended her contract until 2012.

“We want to keep our best players and we are going to extend the contracts this or next year. Of course, we don’t want to keep anyone who is not willing to stay, no matter if the player is under contract or not. I believe that only those players should stay who are satisfied in our club and feel Buducnost their own,” said the Buducnost president. Boskovic added that the club is very satisfied with the work of Gyula Zsiga, who is going to stay for at least one more year on the bench of Buducnost.
