World and European champions in final

Two powerhouses of Beach Handall, Russia and Croatia, will meet in the final of the Beach Euro 2009.

Russia, winners of the European title in Italy back in 2007, are to meet the World Championship winners, Croatia in the men’s final of the 2009 Beach Euro.

Croatia underlined their title –winning credentials with a dominant display of Beach Handball on Court 2, beating the Danes, 24-12 and 22-17.

Top points scorers for Croatia were Hrvoje Horvat with 10 and Drago Vojnovic with 12.

Russia were just as strong on the main court, unbeaten in the championship, the defending champions, beat Hungary 2-0 (26-22, 21-12)

The men’s final will be played on Sunday at 16.00.
