Golubic says goodbye to Krim

After three years in RK Krim Mercator, right winger Dijana Golubic is leaving the Slovenian champions to try her skills in the Danish league.

The 25-year old Croatian international has signed a three-year deal with Team Esbjerg.

“I was happy in Krim, but I’m really looking forward to the big challenge of playing in the toughest league in the world! After meeting Viborg a couple of times, I have a pretty good idea of the level of the Danish League,” Golubic told the Danish newspaper JydskeVestkysten.

Dijana Golubic, who started her career in Lokomotiv Zagreb, then moved on to Podravka Vegeta and then, in 2006, to another Euopean top team, Krim, scored 55 goals for Krim in the EHF Champions League last season and was among the eight best scorers at the EURO 2008 in FYR Macedonia with 33 goals.

The 170cm tall Golubic, whom her new club does not hesitate to characterise as “one of the three or four best right wingers in the world” is most famous for her technical skills. She has signed a two year contract with the Danish middle club.
