Buducnost ready for CL

Buducnost T-Mobile ended the preparation period in the best possible manner by wining an international tournament in Ljubljana last weekend. The Montenegrian champion defeated Oltchim Valcea in the final by 36:34 after a penal shootout. The regular time ended 32:32.

Before that the team from Podgorica won the semifinal against Krim by 35:34.

“We played a great match in the final in Ljubljana. I believe we are on the right way to show what the value of our team is. I just hope that we will continue playing like we did in Ljubljana and bring lot of joy to our fans, the Hungarian back player Gabriella Kindl, said. Kindl will spend her second season in Buducnost T-Mobile and will play for the Montenegrin national team as well.

The tournament in Ljubljana was the fourth for Buducnost T-Mobile in the preparation period. The Montenegrins finished second in Dabas (Hungary) and Saarbrücken (Germany), while in Bad Urach Buducnost ended sixth. In total Buducnost played 18 friendly matches.

In Germany a new player made her debut for Buducnost. The Serbian line player Ana Djokic arrived from Podravka.

“With the reinforcements (Piroska Szamoranski, Lidija Horvat, Dragana Pecevska, Ana Djokic), the team is stronger than last year. Now we have two high quality players for each position and it’s much easier to play the whole game on the same rhythm. Of course we will need more time to get everything to it’s place, but we are on the right track. I believe we can do better that last season in the Champions League when we reached the best eight teams, Kindl added.
