Batinic hoping for CL adventureAalborg DH went through several changes after winning silver medal in the Danish championship last season. This success gives them the chance to play the Champions League qualifiers. One of the new players is the Serbian right back Ana Batinic who joined from another ambitious Danish club, FCK Håndbold. The 25-year old Batanic has lot of Champions League experience and now she has hopes to live another Champions League adventure with her new club. Eurohandball.com spoke to her. Eurohandball.com: How do you like being in Aalborg DH? Ana Batinic: I see a great difference, compared to what I was used to in my previous clubs. I am really happy to be in Aalborg, and I look forward to going to the training every day. The coaches of the club are very good and I also think that we will have a really strong team within a month a two. Just everybody needs to get used to the team. Eurohandball.com: What is different from the trainings you had before? Ana Batinic: We play at lot more during trainings here and we play a lot on two goals. In general, trainings are much different from what I experienced in FCK, for instance. Eurohandball.com: The CL qualifications are approaching. What about the chances against Sagunt, Patras and Piyango with you having the home advantage? Ana Batinic: I think we have a really good chance, not least as we are going to play in our own home ground, as you just said – so I really think we have a great chance to qualify for the Champions League group stage! Eurohandball.com: How important is it for you to play Champions League again? Ana Batinica: I would be happy to qualify. I think we would have a really good chance in the group with Hypo Niederösterreich, Krim and Metz. I expect to improve considerably for the months to come. I think we could do really well in the Champions League. TEXT: Peter Bruun |
