Linders: last season with FCKThis will be the last season for former Swedish international Pelle Linders in FCK Håndbold. The 34-year old line player, who recently returned after a foot injury, will move home to Sweden when his contract expires. "After this season, I will return to Gothenburg with my family. We have a house there, which is now rented out,” Peller Linders told Danish website sporten.dk He has not yet decided if he would continue playing. "My former club, Aranes, has a good chance to gain promotion to the Swedish first division. If they succeed, I may continue playing for another couple of years," said Linders. The line player had a rich international career with clubs such as KIF Kolding and THW Kiel in the EHF Champions League before FCK. This will be his third season with the Copenhagen-based squad. He has been national champion with all three of these clubs. Pelle Linders played 73 internationals for Sweden before ending his career in the national team a year ago. FCK may not have to look for a replacement, though. Their two other pivots, Danish Jakob Bagersted and Norwegian Einar Sand Koren, may be able to fill his large shoes... TEXT: Peter Bruun |
