Krim players show solidarity

Even though Slovenian Champion Krim Mercator had to cut their budget, almost all player stayed and accepted new conditions.

Krim Ljubljana were forced to change strategy and budget only two weeks before the start of the Champions League. New conditions and contracts were offered to all players before they went to national teams gathering. After returning almost all players accepted conditions and the team of Krim Mercator did not change a lot.

Only Croatian Kristina Franić, Ukranian Olena Yatsenko and Serbian Sanja Damjanović left. All other player stay at the club including Bodnieva, Vergelyuk, Lekić, Cvijić, Zacsik and Grubišić.

Manager Deja Doler Ivanović said: "We wanted to show players clearly the situation. Krim has never been in the red and we wanted to keep it like this for the future. But we were forced to reduce our budget and everyone´s salary. I am happy that almost all stayed with us what shows a big heart beating for Krim."

They will economize on every step, so players are going today to first champions league in Metz, by bus.
