Fältnäs stays with Fyllingen

Anders Fältnäs, Swedish head coach of Fyllingen Handball, will stay with the club at least until the summer of 2012.

His contract was extended with the Bergen-based club for another two years. When his new contract expires, he will have been with Fyllingen for six year and that will the longest time he has ever served a club.

“I wanted to extend my contract because I think our team has gone through a very positive development and I believe we can become even better. We have some very talented young players,” said Anders Fältnäs.

The Swedish was also coach of HSV Hamburg and AaB Håndbold before as well as assistant coach of the Swedish national team.

“My goal is to qualify Fyllingen for the EHF Champions League again and develop new players for the Norwegian national team. I want to contribute to the positive development of Norwegian handball,” Fältnäs added.

Fyllingen are debutants in the Champions League this season and are currently still waiting for their first points in Group C.
