Croatians on viking trail

After encouraging performance in Ciudad Real, Croatia osiguranje Zagreb travel to Copenhagen.

Croatians on Viking trail

FCK and Zagreb have four points each. The winner of Sunday's match will take the third position if Group C and keep their chances for a better ranking at the end of the group phase.

Zagreb showed good performance for 50 minutes against Ciudad Real. The Croatians even had the lead against the CL finalist on their court. Only a lack of concentration in the last 10 minutes allowed the home team to take a significant lead. Coach Senjanin Maglajlija was satisfied after the match:

“Our defence was good during the entire match, but at the end we committed far too many mistakes in attack. Ciudad Real just took advantage of our errors.“

Nothing is lost. There are many more matches to be played and many points to win. First opportunity will be coming on Sunday already - in the land of the Vikings.

“We must win in Copenhagen in order to stay in the competition for the first two places in our group, said Maglajlija.

It won't be easy, but a healthy Balić, a focused Lazarov, a determined Škof and especially the good performance of the young Štrlek and Marić can give some hope to the Croatian fans.
