The Main Grops will be drawn at the Opening Press Conference of the 2010 Men's EHF European Championship.

Women's EHF Champions League Draw next week

The European Handball Federation would like to announce that the draw for the Women's EHF Champions League Main Round will take place on 19 January 2010 in Linz/Austria on the occasion of the EURO 2010 Opening Press Conference.

The draw will start at 10.00 hrs; live graphic presentation of the draw results will be available on eurohandball.com.

The remaining 8 teams will play 24 matches in the following playing period:

Leg 1: 06./07.02.2010
Leg 2: 13./14.02.2010
Leg 3: 20./21.02.2010
Leg 4: 06./07.03.2010
Leg 5: 13./14.03.2010
Leg 6: 20./21.03.2010

Draw regulations

First, the four group winners will be placed in the first two rows of the two main groups. Then two teams placed second in the Group Stage will be drawn to the rows three and four of the two Main Round Groups. Please note that teams that faced each other in the Group Stage cannot be drawn into the same Main Round group.

No further draws will be necessary before the semi-finals. They will be played between the second of Group A and the first of group B as well as between the second of Group B and the first of Group A.
