Gajić saves last minute penaltySpectators in Velenje could enjoy a spectacular match between Gorenje and Kielce. Gorenje’s goalkeeper Ivan Gajić became the hero of the evening after he saved a penalty shot by Rastko Stojković at the end of playing time. All 60 minutes between the Slovenian and the Polish Champion were very exciting. For very much of the first half Vive Kielce had the game and the result in their hands. With a good defence they forced Gorenje into making mistakes. With unstoppable Stojković and Knudsen Kielce were already three goals up (9:6) when Bogdan Wenta's side started to lose the gap until the end of half time after Čupić, Cehte and Bezjak started scoring (17:17). At the start of second half Gorenje immediately took the lead and kept it until 40th minute. Čupić was scoring well and goalie Skok was hard to beat. But then again Kielce took the initiative, planning to bring the match to an easy finish with goals by Stojković, Rosinski and Jurasik. It remained close until the very last minute when Stojković scored 35:35. On the other side Čupić added another goal to his score list (36:35). Kielce kept the ball until the end of playing time and managed to receive a final penalty but Ivan Gajić saved Stojković's shot. Gorenje finally paid revenge to Kielce for the loss in Poland.
