"A new international dream"

German international Dominik Klein is excited about the EHF FINAL4.

"A new international dream"

ehfFINAL4.com: Is it too early to already congratulate THW Kiel to their sixth German championship after the 33:31 over HSV Hamburg last weekend?

Dominik Klein: I do not accept congratulations yet, even if some might perhaps be smiling at the last matches. But we still have two league games and we must not lose any.

ehfFINAL4.com: What are your expectations for the EHF FINAL4? With BM Ciudad Real you seem to meet the toughest opponent…

Dominik Klein: Right after the draw I had a very good feeling. It is an advantage to take meet Ciudad Real in the first game already, since we can prepare for this game very well. As always I expect our coach to analyze your opponent in detail. Unlike top games in the Bundesliga, which may be decided by the strength on the day, the EHF FINAL4 will be won by the team that has got the strength over the weekend. After all it takes two games. However: the finale, we're not talking about yet. We need to focus on the first game against Ciudad Real.

ehfFINAL4.com: Two days in Europe’s largest hall, the Lanxess Arena in Cologne - is that a handball player's dream?

Dominik Klein: Until now the German handball player’s dream was the German Cup finals in Hamburg. And now, an international dream called Cologne joins in. Cologne evokes memories of the successful World Championship in 2007. These experiences I will never forget, and thus always like to go to Cologne.

ehfFINAL4.com: What is the preparation for this week?

Dominik Klein: There's nothing special to report. No matter what game comes, we should not change the preparations. We changed nothing for the Hamburg game, and we were successful.

ehfFINAL4.com: When do you go to Cologne?

Dominik Klein: Our team will arrive on Thursday.
